Ascension Parish, LA – Ascension Small Business Power Week, presented by EATEL Business, returns to Ascension Parish the week of August 12-19.
At the weeklong event, economic and small-business development organizations will once again partner to showcase programs, services, and organizations that are available to help small companies grow from idea to second stage.
“Power week has adopted a new brand image focusing on empowerment and the energy that puts the “pow” in power week,” said Lee Melancon, event coordinator.
The event includes workshops, networking, and presentations from some of the area’s most prominent business leaders.

Saturday, August 1 @ Lamar Dixon Expo Center (9039 S. St. Landry Avenue, Gonzales)
10:00 a.m. -- Superwoman’s Conference of Ascension Parish
Featuring motivational speakers Tamiko Francis Garrison and Andrea Benjamin as well as guests from Ascension Economic Development Corporation, and Louisiana Economic Development.
12:00 p.m. – Tanger Mall “Dress for Success” Fashion Show
Featuring apparel from Dress Barn, Chico’s Outlet, and Anne Taylor Factory Outlet Stores. Light lunch provided.
Monday, August 14 at 6pm @ Sorrento Civic Center (7471 Main Street, Sorrento)
On Monday, the Power Week will continue at Sorrento Civic Center for workshops. Attendees will learn new skills from seasoned professionals.
Tuesday, August 15 at 6pm @ Gonzales Public Safety Center (724 Orice Roth Road, Gonzales)
The networking will continue on the following day in Gonzales. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, and start-up business are encouraged to attend.
Wednesday, August 16, POWER DAY @ Various Locations
11:30 a.m. – Economic Development Luncheon
On, Ascension Parish Small Business Power Day kicks off with a luncheon at 11:30am at Kamal’s Kafe (13091 Airline Hwy #A, Gonzales, LA 70737). Several speakers will present their success stories and tips, including EATEL Business’s Vice President of Sales Tressy Leindecker. There is a $25 fee for lunch and RSVPs are required. 2-5:00 p.m. -- Ascension Chamber of Commerce Business Expo
The highlight of the week is presented by St. Elizabeth which will be held on August 16, 2017 from 2-5pm at Lamar Dixon Expo Center (9039 S. St. Landry Avenue, Gonzales; TradeMart Building). Thursday, August 17 at 6pm @ Donaldsonville Lemann Memorial Center (1100 Clay Street, Donaldsonville)
Following POWER DAY, networking, presentations or workshops will be held in Donaldsonville.
Saturday, August 19, at 9am @ Crystal Chateaux (36501 Mission Street, Prairieville)
The grand finale of Power Week is in Prairieville, where attendees can join us for a morning meeting at the Crystal Chateuax.
