New Hire: Industry Veteran Joins EATEL Business in Leading Sales Role


Baton Rouge, LA – July 11, 2017 – EATEL, a regional leader in digital communications and data services for home and business, has hired Corey Hayes as MDU (multi-dwelling unit) Manager.

Hayes is a Louisiana native with more than 19 years of experience in the fiber optic, cable, satellite and broadband industry. He has served in a leadership capacity in numerous roles, including, sales, marketing and project management. Also, he has done business in some of the largest and most competitive markets in the United States, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach, Florida.

Prior to his current position with EATEL, Corey worked for two publicly traded companies and his previous position was National Director of Sales for MasTec, Inc., (NYSE: MTZ) a multibillion-dollar company that is the country’s largest installer and contractor for AT&T and DIRECTV.

In addition, Hayes has been a paid consultant to nine different Wall Street Hedge and Investment firms advising them on fiber optic, cable, satellite, broadband technology and future trends in the industry. Recently, his expert testimony was requested by the United States Department of Justice in regards to franchising cable and telephony wiring practices.

Academically, Hayes received a double major Bachelor Degree from McNeese State University in Computer Studies and Education. He also received his Master’s Degree in Communications from Northern Illinois University with a full graduate assistantship in Student Housing where he was the first incumbent Director of Off-Campus Housing.

Corey currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA and after 20 plus years of living in other cities, and he is enthusiastic about working for EATEL Business and to be back home in Louisiana near his family.
